Dirt Gambler's Museum
Our simple hometown museum is located in the old bank building at the corner of 3rd & D in Ramona. When the Ramona branch of the Tampa State Bank closed in January of 2002, the bank generously gave the building to the California Sisters, "Because we know you'll do something good with it."
The purpose of the museum is to honor our ancestors as well as current residents who have lived in Ramona and the farms surrounding it -- folks who have gambled on living off the soil.
To visit the Dirt Gambler's Museum call the California Sisters: 785 965-7110
The museum is always open on the afternoon of Memorial Day.

Feature Show:
Gertie Schubert lived in the Ramona area for over fifty years. She took pictures with her little Kodak b/w camera recording the history of her family and the countryside.
For
the first time in her life, she has a one-woman show of her photographs and
you can see them in the Dirt Gambler's Museum!
